Fall 2020 Return to Play Policy

North Allegheny Soccer Club Players, Coaches, and Parents,

Please review the North Allegheny Soccer Clubs Return to Play Policies for the Fall 2020 season. They were established using guidelines set forth by PAWest soccer organization (our governing, parent organization), Allegheny County health guidelines, and Pennsylvania state health guidelines.

Please understand that there are many diverse and conflicting emotions and opinions surrounding the COVID topic.  Our number one goal throughout the process of developing these policies was the same as it always is at this club – to get the children of this community onto the field to play soccer.

It is important to note that these substantial changes are in place for spectators during the Fall 2020 season: These guidelines have been updated on 9/1/2020 and supersede all previous guidelines. Notable changes are highlighted below.

- At U10 and below, each player is now permitted to invite 2 spectators to each game.

- At U11 and U12, each player is also permitted to invite 2 spectators to each game. However, if your parent is a coach at this age group, you are permitted to invite only 1 other spectator to each game.

- At U13 and above, each player is permitted to invite 1 and only 1 spectator to each game.

Again, please be responsible and adhere to these guidelines. If you choose to ignore the permitted number of spectators for your family, you run the risk of altering the season for roughly 700 other children and their families. We are in this together. Please be mindful of how your decision to take more people to a field affects those around you.

Practice policies will remain unchanged at this point in time. No spectators will be permitted at the fields for practices.

PAWest has also provided some updated checklists. There is one for Players and Coaches, another for Parents and Spectators, and a third for Referees and Staff. Please review them as appropriate to your role(s) within the club. They can be found here:

These updated checklists override any conflicting information in the original Return to Play Policies provided to you at registration. The Return to Play Policies have been updated to reflect the changes.

We want to personally thank each of you for doing your part this season to keep us all safe and playing this season. This season will be anything other than typical. Your cooperation in following these policies and being flexible is very much appreciated.

I look forward to seeing you all on the fields this fall and enjoying the beautiful game of soccer with you.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Otto Tancraitor
